  • Back to school…

Nobody asks garlic bread for its GPA.
Nobody cares if it took AP Physics or regular.
AP Physics is temporary. Garlic bread is there for life, anytime, anywhere.

It shows up. It smells amazing. It makes people feel good.
    That’s enough.

Be garlic bread. Do your best.
Grades are numbers. You’re more than that. You are something more than just school.

Especially if you’re a garlic bread enjoyer.

Back to school motivation for y’all. Gonna be brutal this year.

  • Wisdom Post 2

Let’s talk about stale garlic bread.

Forgotten on the counter. Slightly stiff. A shadow of its former self.
You look at it and think,

“It had potential… but does it still have some?”

    YES

    But here’s the thing:
It just needs heat. Not a lot. Just heat.

When you toast stale garlic bread it becomes an entirely different product overall.
    The outside gets crisp again.
The inside softens. Maybe it’s crispy inside if you are that person.

The flavor comes back and reconcentrates into something more crunchy than before.

It’s not the same as before.
But honestly I don’t care. You shouldn’t either to be honest.

This is a lesson to everyone.

Next time you feel stale, don’t toss yourself out.

Just like garlic bread, there is more than what the surface might seem.

Cheers to the second wisdom post!

    -Pat

  • Teach garlic bread

Students across the USA and the world alike are expected to maintain happiness while dealing with math, essays, random historical events, and things like the acceleration of gravity being 9.81 m/s². Well, in all of this learning, one thing is missing.

    Garlic Bread.

    Why should we teach this?

It teaches a practical life skill. Garlic bread is not just a side dish. It is a lifestyle, a rite of passage, and a character-building experience.

Cooking: Learning to toast bread with garlic, butter, and not set off the fire alarm is the kind of real-world skill that everyone should learn.

Time Management: There is a window. A narrow window between “golden perfection” and “burnt sad.” This is how we teach urgency.

    Next. History.
History: Trace the lineage of garlic, wheat, and butter through ancient civilizations.

Or Even Math: Fractions. Measurements. Dividing slices equally with the people you hate…

    The Counterarguments?
“They should focus on real subjects.”
Okay. When’s the last time physics comforted you during a cry session?

    “But not everyone likes garlic.”
That’s what electives classes are for. Right?

    That’s it for this week.

  • End Pieces of Bread

I choose to defend these pieces.

They always get ignored or thrown away.

Why would we do such a thing?

Garlic Bread Wisdom #1 — Officially?

We need to talk about the end pieces.

The ones no one picks first.

The crusty ends of the loaf.

The ones that get left behind in the bag…

until they’re the only thing left.

    But here’s the truth:

The end pieces were NEVER the problem.

They were just different. Maybe less appealing, sure.

But more than just the end of the loaf —

they’re the backbone of the loaf.

They need to be toasted to be enjoyed.

They kept the soft slices safe.

    They defended them from damage.

    Held it all together.

    And got ignored.

    And you know what?

Slap some garlic butter on one of those pieces and toast it.

It becomes the crunch you didn’t know you needed.

The edge that cuts through the sad moments of life.

Next time, I better not see you toss it.

    DO NOT SKIP IT.

It deserves to live and be enjoyed…

just like every other part of the loaf you bought.

Enjoy the rest of your day, whoever you are.

  • Motivation Post for Everyone

    You don’t need a reason.

You don’t need a special occasion.

    You don’t need guests.

    You don’t even need pasta.

You can make garlic bread just because.

    Right now.

    For yourself.

I prefer Wegmans garlic bread toasted when fresh.

You could have your own favorite and I don’t judge.

It can be any type of bread with garlic and bread form, and hey, that’s your own garlic bread concoction.

“Garlic bread, it’s the future, I’ve tasted it.”

    — Peter Kay

I’m not sure who that guy might be but it sounds like he’s someone I trust.

That is really all I gotta say this week.

Thank you for coming to my TEDx.

  • What Actually Counts as Garlic Bread?

You think you know garlic bread.
    But do you really?

We are going to unpack the core of garlic bread. What fits under this broad umbrella. Because it’s more than just garlic bread.

Core Members of the Garlic Bread Family
Classic Garlic Bread – sliced loaf, toasted with garlic butter.

Texas Toast – thick white bread, frozen or fresh, double-buttered.

Garlic Knots – doughy, twisty, already proven part of the fam.

Cheesy Garlic Bread – when garlic bread levels up with cheese.

Garlic Naan – don’t fight me. Flatbread + garlic = garlic bread with a unique look.

Extended Family (Still Welcome at Dinner)
Maybe not on every menu, but they get invited to the reunion:

    Garlic Breadsticks

    Garlic Rolls

    Garlic Ciabatta / Focaccia

Pizza crust brushed with garlic butter

Garlic Monkey Bread – pull-apart bread? Still counts.

    Borderline Cousins (Controversial but Defendable)
Garlic Pretzel Bites – garlic? bread? Technically. Pretzels are a bread product sooo…

    Rule of Thumb:
If it’s made of bread and tastes like garlic,
I consider it garlic bread. Fight me.

I disabled the comments. But who knows. Maybe one day I’ll reenable them for you to share your debates.

Call it what you want — toast, naan, knot, roll — doesn’t matter.
If it has garlic and the composition of a bread, it can be considered a part of the family. Some closer than others, but related.

“Garlic bread is my favorite food. I could honestly eat it for every meal. Or just eat it all the time without even stopping.”

  • Are Garlic Knots Part of the Garlic Bread Family?

I once got a question from a dear friend:

“Does garlic knots count as garlic bread?”

And I think it is time to settle this debate.

    Are garlic knots… garlic bread?

Well, let us first look at the ingredients of a garlic knot found in the wild:

    Bread dough

    Garlic butter / oil

    Herbs

    Baked till golden!!

Is that not what garlic bread is with a bit of extra seasoning?

    Anyways. Moving on.

    Shape?
Yes, it is tied up into a knot, but at its core when you bite into it, the core is a bread. It’s still made as a bread in production. It still has garlic.

Let’s say you had a garlic bread and changed the shape. The freaking thing is still garlic bread.

So no, garlic knots might not show up on the official registry under “garlic bread.”
    But spiritually? Emotionally? Nutritionally?

    Final Verdict:
Garlic knots = garlic bread with extra garlic slathered on top.
You can’t change my mind. I still cherish it the same and love it.

  • Why Eat Garlic Bread Now?

Well, to start off I might not know you in any way shape or form. Maybe Google led you here. Or you clicked from somewhere else. But I want you to go somewhere and purchase a loaf of garlic bread.

    Reason 1. It is food.
You cannot say no to food. If you like garlic just a smidge, legit go and buy a loaf. Warm it up and get it a little bit crisp. Boom. It’s golden. It’s yummy.

Reason 2. There’s no wrong time.
    Breakfast? Garlic bread.
    Midnight? Garlic bread.
    4:47pm bored? Garlic bread.

Do I even need to continue?

If you hate garlic bread just say it. I might not understand, but it’s your choice to ignore such a thing.

Anyways, if you are going to eat it — you’ve earned it. Eat it!!

  • How to Eat Garlic Bread Properly

(Because yes, there’s a right way. And yes, you have to do this.)

    Wrong answers only:
    – With a fork and knife.
    – Dipped in water like a psychopath.
    – One bite, then put it back in the basket.

But what is the right way to eat garlic bread? Do I just raw dog it?

Let’s break it down. Because we have to!

How to Eat Garlic Bread Properly

    1. Choose Your Bread Wisely
I know this is about garlic bread, but don’t choose some multigrain grocery store brand loaf.
    2. Add something. If you desire.
Add butter if you love that. Make it to your liking. But don’t just add nothing. Customize it. Because a plain life isn’t a right life.
    3. Eat it fresh. Yes.
Do not wait days just to open that bag of garlic bread. Legit eat it the first day when it is soft — the day where toasting isn’t required. After that, you have to toast it or else it is sad and dry. Remember that.
    4. Embrace the bread.
    5. Smell it first.
    6. Take a moment.
    7. Close your eyes if you must.
You’re not just eating. You’re ascending to the land of bread.

Bonus Section: Garlic Bread Banned Actions
Microwaving it? Only if you hate bread.

Dabbing oil off with a napkin? Just eat it, man.

  • Nick’s Pizza Garlic Knots (Bethlehem)

Local, classic garlic knots. These are the way to go.

When you think garlic knots, you usually think side dish. Afterthought. Something tossed into the corner of your pizza order. Nick’s Pizza in Bethlehem flips that on its head. These garlic knots are the main event. And they’re worth every dollar.

    Price
    $5.95 for 6

    Location on Google Maps
Nick’s Pizza Restaurant, 822 Main St, Bethlehem, PA 18018
    Google Maps Link

    Value
    4.2/5
Not insane value, but honestly? Still good. Each of the 6 knots are hefty, pack insane garlic flavor, and are satisfying enough to not feel ripped off. It also comes with some marinara sauce, so you can mix it up with some tomato flavor. Prices have crept up, but quality has stayed solid.

    Texture
    4.8/5
Excellent slight crisp on the crust, with a soft, fluffy interior that holds the flavor in well without getting soggy or stale.

    Flavor
    4.9/5
Real garlic flavor. NOT artificial tasting. A bit greasy, but not out of the ordinary. Slight sprinkling of parsley or similar on top for flavor. Flavor’s strong without being overwhelming. Messy in the best way. (Bring napkins or suffer.)

    Overall Vibe
    4.7/5
For a restaurant garlic knot, Nick’s is very good — especially for an area like Bethlehem, PA. Nick’s commits to their garlic knots — it’s not an afterthought. If you’re local, it’s basically an obligation to grab a box once in a while.

Additional Comments – Best Way to Eat Them
If you don’t inhale them immediately, reheat at 350°F for 3–4 minutes. Oven only — no microwaving if you respect yourself.

    Rating: 9.0/10
Satisfying, real, messy garlic knot goodness. Worth grabbing if you’re nearby and want a quick garlic-fueled snack without regret. They offer great Italian foods as well. Even their cheesesteaks hit. Go try them out — they’ll be good no matter what you get.

My personal go-to for garlic knots in Bethlehem. It gets my seal of approval.

Enjoy the rest of your day. Whenever you’re reading this.
